Citing precautionary measures amid ‘uncertain’ situations brought about by the Taal Volcano activities and the increasing threat of the 2019 Novel Corona Virus (n-CoV), the De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) administration ordered the restriction of students’ participation to external activities and academic-related meetings during Wednesdays, Feb. 7.

According to Welmer Adajar, director for student services, college students who wish to come to school and complete academic requirements starting Feb. 12 until March 25 must secure approval from their dean for them to be granted entry in the campus.

On the other hand, Adajar said that student leaders of college organizations may still gain access to their offices for official business and other organizational activities.

Partaking in external gatherings and activities involving local and international travel during the month of February and March was also banned by the school.

Meanwhile, the final date for the institution’s annual Foundation Week celebration is yet to be determined, considering the institution’s decision to limit in-campus interaction during uncertain times of crisis and emergency.
