In the face of adversaries, the legions’ battle for glory did not dwindle as the Lasallian Cup 2025 strived on with the theme “Legends Awaken: Rise of the Champions” at the De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) Sentrum, Oct. 20.
The ceremonial torch lighting was then hindered by heavy downpour from Tropical Storm “Ramil” to steer the flame on-screen, followed by the players’ ceremonial toss and an oath of sportsmanship.
Defending champions CBEAM Alurex were then confronted with this year’s fresh alliance of CEAS, CCJE and CIHTM Penumbris, signaling a new flame with the ferocious CITE Theriandor and the persistent CON Elanvyr.

As the introduction of contenders concluded, DLSU alumnus and athlete Vince Maglinao stood as a keynote speaker, emphasizing the importance of serving others and showing the true Lasallian values of being a school athlete.
“It wasn’t about fame, followers or medals. It was about character. I didn’t just learn how to play volleyball. I learned to serve others […] and those lessons stayed long after I left the school,” Mr. Maglinao said in his speech.
Filling the stage with more intensity, the DLSL Indak and Musikalista revved up the crowd with their enlivening performances.

Donning their departments’ motifs with pride, the candidates for the Mr. and Ms. Lasallian Cup 2025 showcased their charisma, setting the stage for their upcoming competition on Friday, Oct. 24.
