Competing against 32 participating schools, the LAVOXA Group of Publications, De La Salle Lipa’s (DLSL) official college student publication, seized multiple awards at the recently concluded Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC) held in Batis Aramin Hotel and Resort, Lucban, Quezon, Feb. 20 to 22.
Umalohokan, the publication’s Filipino newsletter, earned the following awards:
- 8th Place – Best Newsletter
- 2nd Place – Feature Literary Page
- 6th Place – Best News Page
- 7th Place – Best Editorial Page
- 8th Place – Best Paper Design
Meanwhile, Lavoxa’s pioneer broadcasting team placed fifth in the category of Radio Broadcasting and Scriptwriting.

- Eowyn Marguerite Abjelina: 4th Place, Desktop Publishing/Layout
- Ralph Earl Raymundo: 5th Place, News Writing (Filipino); 9th Place, Sports Writing (Filipino)
- Aui Dein Tipan: 8th Place, Copyreading and Headline Writing (English)
- Vyon Jonnel Medina: 7th Place, Sports Writing (English)
- Rio Mercado: 8th Place, Feature Writing (English)
- Ashley Jericka Jalon: 10th Place, Literary Graphics Illustration (English)
Moreover, Balita, Abjelina, and Raymundo will advance to the Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) which will be held in Naga City, Camarines Sur from March 19 to 21.
