A college student was shot and killed while another man was wounded by an unidentified assailant at Mcdonald’s Lipa Ayala 5:00 pm this afternoon, Oct. 6.
The student was identified as Cyd Allison C. Gascon, 22, of Philippine State College of Aeronautics – Fernando Air Base Campus, while his companion was Kenneth Joy M. Golfo, 26. Both are from Brgy. Tambo, Lipa City.
As of press time, the suspect is still at large.
According to Philippine National Police (PNP) Lipa’s spot report, initial investigation shows that the victims, together with another passenger, were in a Nissan Sedan (XDH-538) about to order from the drive-thru of the said fast food chain.
An unidentified man from a white van-type vehicle (WIJ-574) then walked towards the car and shot at the victims several times.
The suspect then returned to the van and sped off towards Malvar town proper.
The victims were brought to the nearest hospital but Gascon was declared dead on arrival. Golfo, meanwhile, sustained a gunshot wound on his right thigh.
Recovered in the crime scene were three fired cartridge cases and one fired bullet.
