
With a passing rate of 31.37%, 16 out of 51 examinees from De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) made it to the roster of passers in the recently conducted Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Licensure examinations, Oct. 22.

From an overall performance of 49.32% in 2017 to 43.94% in 2018, DLSL’s performance declined further by 12.27% for this year’s results.
Despite the decrease in the passing percentage, the institution’s performance this year is 17.05% higher than the national passing rate at 14.32%.
Out of 14,492 takers, only 2,075 passed the examination which was conducted last Oct. 5, 6 and 12 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Tacloban and Tuguegarao.
The national CPA passing rate has been continuously decreasing from 36.48% in October 2016, 30.45% in October 2017, and 25.18% in October 2018. Moreover, this year’s passing percentage is the lowest for the last 10 years.
