The Lavoxa Group of Publications, De La Salle Lipa’s (DLSL) official college student publication, secured awards at the fifth iteration of the recently concluded Widyatama International Competition (WINACTION), held at Widyatama University, Bandung, Indonesia, May 29.
Aui Dein Tipan, an entertainment and multimedia computing sophomore, was hailed as the champion for the English Speech Contest where contenders presented their own speeches on gender insensitivity, social security, and youth socio-civic engagement, besting five other finalists.
Meanwhile, Niña Riavel Deomampo, a third year legal management student, was declared as the 4th runner-up for English Poetry Reading, with the participants performing Maya Angelou’s “Still I Rise” along with another poem selected from six options, in the on-site finals.

The 5th WINACTION aims to enhance students’ skills and abilities in the arts and promote relationships between domestic and international higher education institutions.
Other competition areas included Business Model Canvas, Product Innovation, Short Movie, Photography, Paper Presentation, Community Poster, Economics Scientific Poster, Engineering Scientific Poster, English News Anchor, Japanese News Anchor, Japanese Monogatari, Essay, Mobile Legends, Reels Video Content, Vocal Group, Band, and Modern Dance.
