De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) attained a 100% passing rate for both the elementary and secondary education level after eight aspiring teachers successfully passed the recently concluded Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), May 24.

Four examinees each took and succeeded in the exams. At the secondary level,DLSL’s passing rate increased by 22.22% from the previous record of 77.78%.

In an interview with Lavoxa Online, Gininna Gatdula, one of the passers and currently a Senior High School teacher in DLSL shared that she read different books, attended two review centers, and watched LET reviews on YouTube as well as keeping her faith stronger with God as preparations for the exams.

“Yes, I reviewed a lot, but I prayed even more. I visited at least 30 churches, prayed the novena of St. Jude six times a day for nine days, prayed the rosary, visited the Capilla every day, made 11:11 wishes, and consistently talked to God”, said Gatdula.

She also hopes that other aspiring teachers will have courage to take the examinations despite the challenges that one has to overcome.

The national passing rate was 46.67% for elementary education level and 58.78% for the secondary education level. 

The examination was administered last March 17, 2024 in different testing centers nationwide. Meanwhile, the schedule for the oath taking ceremony is yet to be announced.
