De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) acclaimed 45 new Registered Electrical Engineers (REE) and one Registered Master Electrician (RME) in the recently held licensure examinations, May 2.

With 45 out of 75 successful REE examinees, DLSL garnered a passing rate of 60% which is 3.33% lower than the national passing rate of 63.33%. This is 2.50% lower than the institution’s previous rating of 62.50% last September 2023.

In an interview, REE passer Maricar Icay Tapat shared that the most challenging part of her experience was overcoming her own doubts while reviewing for the exams.

Despite these mental hurdles, she persevered, emphasizing the importance of having a good support system throughout the journey.

“I am thankful that I have my friends with me that answer my questions when it comes to some difficult computations during review […] even though it means they’ll have less review time on their side,” said Tapat.

Meanwhile, the sole RME passer granted a 100% passing rate for DLSL, with the national passing rate of 51.56%.

The REE and RME licensure examinations were administered last April 24 and  25 in various testing centers nationwide.
