Still undefeated, De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) Lady Stallions adeptly disposed of Malayan College Laguna (MCL) lady Wizards in the 19th Southern Luzon Colleges and Athletic Association (SLCUAA), 25-7, 25-11, 25-9 at the SENTRUM, Sept. 8.
DLSL started the set with a rough patch but soon capitalized on MCL’s consecutive errors, causing the latter to call for a time-out and heap together before the first set concluded.
Spiking the last ball, Lady Stallion Jazel Cubilla, secured the first hurdle of the game to secure an immense difference of 25-7.
While in the last set of the match, DLSL’s spiker Erika Gasapos, led the team’s offense as she dished out cannon-like attacks onto the wizard’s side of the court, resulting into a 6-0 run, 16-4.
Lady Wizards, Arjane Enolpe and Kiesha Santos, tried to whip their wands in defense in hopes for a comeback but to no avail as Gasapos successfully diverted the Wizards’ attempt ending the set at a score of 25-9, to secure the third win.
