The test for supremacy has begun as the competing colleges begin clash to secure the trophy in this year’s Avengers Infinity War-themed Lasallian Cup (LS Cup), Oct. 22.
Continuing the battle between the four colleges, all eyes are set on CBEAM Foxes as they aim to swipe the trophy for the fourth consecutive time. Merging CIHTM-CON Peacocks and Stags intensify their collaboration, while CEAS Owls eye for a comeback. Enraged CITE Oxen also started strong in their goal of grabbing the title.
Speaking as guest athletes, football players Simon Greatwich and Graham Cayhill shared their insights and experiences in their chosen sports career. Afterwards, they led the taking of the athlete’s oath.
Br. Leonilo “Jun” Estrellas Jr. FSC, vice chancellor for mission, is also present during the event as he emphasized in his opening remarks that the success of this week-long intramurals lies in the hands of the students.
The hype of the crowd continued as De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) Danzcom PEP squad spiced up the stage with their breathtaking pyramids and liftings. Performances of Salindayaw Dance Company and DLSL Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) Psalms and All Out Crew also amped up the audience.
Uproars echoed even louder inside the jam-packed SENTRUM as representatives of Mr. and Ms. LS Cup and athletes of each college paraded inside the venue.
As the highlight of the opening ceremony, the cheerdance competition also commenced with each college showcasing their heart-stopping stunts and stunning routines. Winners are announced shortly after all the performances.
