De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) started off the first two days of its 62nd foundation week celebration  with a set of preliminary activities showcasing the skills and abilities of Lasallians, Feb. 10 and 11.

In an interview with Kristine Anne Dimaculangan, the Foundation Week Committee Chairperson, shared the inspiration behind this year’s theme and event choices that aimed to highlight the diverse talents of students.

“We wanted to highlight the talents of the Lasallians, in line with our sub-theme of ‘Live your passion at De La Salle Lipa’ […] so we really wanted that all of the events [can] showcase their skills and talents– may it be academic or non-academic,” explained Dimaculangan.

With this, the first triduum mass was held as part of the soft opening ceremony while the BioScience Interclass Science Quiz Show entitled Aleck Nicola Martinez and Jimlor Martinez from S12-15 as champions.

Featured yesterday were the coronation of the image of Our Lady of Lourdes and the Investiture of the third Chancellor, Dr. Teodosia Merlin C. Suarez. 

Meanwhile, other events prepared by various organizations such as Animo Concert, Fuego academic competitions and RADIANCE: Shedding Light to Inclusivity through Creativity are scheduled to launch within the day, Feb. 12.
