De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) has been hailed as the top performing school in both the recently concluded Electronics Technician (ECT) and Registered Master Electrician (RME) licensure examinations, April 25.
DLSL claimed the top spot in the ECT boards, garnering a passing rate of 90.59% with 77 new ECTs out of 85 examinees. This year’s passing rate is 7.56% lower than the April 2018 rate wherein DLSL was the second best performing school.
Meanwhile, DLSL ranked first for the sixth consecutive time in the RME licensure exams with a 98.96% passing rate, yielding 95 new RMEs out of 96 takers. This year’s RME topnotchers list came down with 11 students from DLSL filling all of the top 5 spots.
At the top rank with a 94% rating is Kenneth Martija Bolima and Aldwin Plata Mercado.
Next on the list, landing second on the ranks is Vincent Jolo Sarmiento Areta with a rating of 92.5% followed by Andrea Azalate Bautista and Jamila Castillo Paco placing 3rd with a rating of 92%.
Moreover, in the 4th spot, Johnrev Vergara Alday, Allan Landicho De Silva, and Chris Warren Manalo scored a 91.5% average.
On the 5th and final spot was Emmanuel Jose Calanog Concordia, Felipy R-Dy Arante Contreras, and Kim Cedrick Sayas Oliva garnering a 91% rating.
Adding to the roster of passers, 18 new Electronics Engineers (ECEs) out of 29 takers of their board exams made it in the official list of passers, marking a passing rate of 62.07%.
Moreover, seven out of 14 Lasallian graduates who took the Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) licensure exam passed and garnered a 50% passing rate.
The ECE licensure exam was administered last April 3-4 and was then followed by ECT boards last April 5, while the REE and RME licensure exams were administered last April 15-16 and April 17 respectively.
The ECE board exam and ECT boards this year accumulated a national passing rate of 48.92 % and 81.11% respectively.
Meanwhile, the REE and RME licensure exams marked a national passing rate of 62.79% and 56.14% respectively.
