Five acts contended for the Lasallians Got Talent at the SENTRUM before band Parokya ni Edgar rocked the College Night, April 6.
The Danzcom Angels took home the title, as the all-male group composed of DLSL Danzcom Pep Squad members and coach showed their grace and finesse in their group cheerleading act.
Meanwhile, ventriloquist and 4th year BS Entrepreneurship student Charles Tolentino who brought comedic dialogues for his puppets was recognized as the runner up.
College Night
After the talent show, DJ Nix, who also performed in the Echoes Six Concert, got the party going in his usual showcase of electro-dance music.
Returning to perform in the institution for after 14 years, Parokya ni Edgar serenaded the college students with their hit songs from the 90’s.
They entered with their song “Buloy” and introduced their lead Guitarist Darius Semana who was an alumnus of DLSL Integrated School.
Lead vocalist, Chito Miranda showed his gratitude to the students after every song they played for their jamming and staying late for the night to see them.
Before giving their last two songs, Miranda asked two volunteers to play the part of the late Francis Magalona and Gloc-9 in their 2005 hit-song “Bagsakan”.
Seizing the moment, the crowd chanted for one more song which was granted by the band, ending the night with “Halaga.”
