After decreasing from a 61.54% passing rate in 2015 to 57.26% in 2016, De La Salle Lipa’s performance declined by another 7.94% in the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) licensure examination, Nov. 2.

Out of 73 examinees, of which 58 are first-timers and 15 are retakers, 36 successfully gained the title while 9 were conditional, garnering an overall performance of 49.32%.

However, this year’s passing rate is 18.87% higher as compared to the national passing rate of 30.45%.

The national passing rate has also been continuously decreasing from 41.06% in 2015 and 36.48% in 2016.

The examinations were administered last Oct. 7, 8, 14 and 15 by a total of 14,816 examinees, of which 4,511 passed.
