Dracarys!

The fires of CITE Targaryen burned bright as they successfully defended their titles and claimed the Iron Throne in the closing ceremony of the Lasallian Cup 2022, held at the Sentrum, May 12.

On its fifth and last day of celebration, the houses and their representatives confronted each other once more in the Latin dancesport event, basketball and volleyball championship games, and the much-awaited Mr. and Ms. LS Cup pageant.

House Targaryen and House Lannister reforged their rivalry from the previous Lasallian Cup with banter in the introduction of Houses.

“Ilang sandali na lang, babalik na muli ang korona sa CBEAM,” proclaimed the yellow team, while the team in red remarked “Anong ibabalik? Walang ibabalik dahil CITE pa din ang magwawagi!”

Former Mr. and Ms. LS Cup Dale Fernan Castillo and Qyzel Sapitanan were also present, bidding farewell to their crowns in their final walk. “You will dictate your actions. You will dictate everything that will happen after this. My piece of advice is to stick to your core [values],” said Castillo.

Moreover, performances from DLSL’s Dulaang Kentawra, Salindayaw, and Modern Dance candidates added to the night’s entertainment.

Despite the efforts of Lannister in reclaiming the throne, Targaryen tamed the valiant lions into second place. With an iron-grip on their title as champs, the crimson dragons governed the battle of various sports and hauled the title as overall champions.

On the other hand, Hightower hung by a thread as they shined bronze in third place while Velaryon swam in still waters down the leaderboards, placing fourth overall.
